What counts as a seat in a Power Platform / Dynamics 365 backup

What is a seat

At Keepit, we use "seat" as the metric to measure your consumption of our services. Each seat you purchase represents a licensed user.

Dynamics 365

Requirements for a user to be counted as one seat

  • User must be an active user under a Dynamics 365 subscription
  • Dynamics 365 Sales
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Service
  • Dynamics 365 Field Service
  • Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation
  • Dynamics 365 Marketing
  • If the user is in multiple Dynamics 365 applications (modules), we count the user just once

Power Platform

How seats are counted

Power Automate

  • Each Power Automate license (Power Automate Premium) counts as one seat

Power Pages

Power Pages licensing is based on user capacity, meaning each license represents a specific number of users:

  • Power Pages authenticated user license includes 100 users
  • Power Pages anonymous user license includes 500

We count the number of users as seats:

  • One Power Pages authenticated user license counts as 100 seats
  • One Power Pages anonymous user license counts as 500 seats
