Restore Salesforce records
Keepit provides two methods to restore your Salesforce records.
Selective restore
Selective restore allows you to restore records by browsing inside the connector. You can navigate the data structure and select specific records to restore.
- Point to a record and click the restore icon.
- Open a record and click the restore icon at the top-right of the File Previewer.
- Select one or multiple records and click Restore in the toolbar.
Notes:
- Records restored via the connector browser can only be restored to the same Salesforce instance.
- The snapshot used for restoration is chosen with the Snapshot Viewer.

Wizard restore
The restore wizard allows you to restore from the top level of a connector without manually browsing the data hierarchy.
The wizard also lets you:
- Restore records from multiple object types
- Restore only specific fields of records
- Anonymize fields
- Restore records to a different location
- to a different production environment
- to a sandbox environment
When using the restore wizard, you have three ways to select records to restore:
- Restore all records in the entire organization
Restores all records in the selected snapshot. This option is only available when restoring to the same environment. ARE related records automatically restored in this case? - Manually select specific records
Allows to select one or more records from various object types. - Upload a CSV file
Allows to select records by specifying the record IDs in a CSV file.
