Supported Microsoft Intune policies and profiles

Notes and limitations

Certificate profile dependencies

Certain certificate-based profiles (PKCS, SCEP, and Trusted Certificates) have interdependencies. In most cases, restoring a PKCS or SCEP policy requires the corresponding Trusted Certificate profile to be restored as well.

Limitation 1 — Platform scripts and Update rings location in Keepit UI

Platform scripts (Linux, macOS, Windows 10 and later) and Windows Update rings are backed up and can be restored. In the Keepit UI, they are currently displayed under the "Device Configuration Profiles" folder.

Limitation 2 — Autopatch multi-phase feature update releases

Autopatch multi-phase feature update releases (Windows 11 23H2, 24H2, 25H2) are backed up and restored, but customers should be aware of the following:

  • These policies contain a direct link to an Autopatch group. If the referenced group has been deleted at restore time, the resulting policy state on the Intune tenant may not match the original.
  • Deployment statuses (Scheduled, Paused, In progress) may not be preserved after restore.
  • Restore selection is on a per-phase basis; restored phases can display differently in the tenant than at the time of backup.
